Welcome to our Site

The Calgary 55 Plus Hockey Association was formed in 1990 to provide an opportunity for Calgary and area players 55 years and older to participate in recreational hockey for the fun of the game.  Association members play in various arenas around the city, join in the camaraderie and fellowship, and support community programs through annual contributions to selected charities.  There are currently nine teams playing out of the South Fish Creek Cardel Rec Centre with one team playing out each of the Optimist Arena, Renfrew Arena and Shouldice City of Calgary Arenas.  The teams primarily play in the mornings and early afternoon.

Interested Players

Interested Players can contact the Association by email @ or fill out the CONTACT US form listed below to inquire about opportunities for playing on one of the participating Teams.

This year's Charity Tournament was a great success.  We would like to thank the Organizing Committee headed by Wayne Ford and the numerous volunteers that helped to make the Charity Tournament a success

Thank you to everyone who brought items for the Calgary Food Bank or donated monies.  This is an integral part of the tournament's objectives.

Don Walker and Fred Sloan were pleased to present Bryan Alcock and his wife Jane Alcock an award for their many years of contributions to the Calgary 55 Plus Hockey Association.  Bryan was a Past Commissioner for many years providing valuable contributions on the Governance and Operation of the Association.  Jane provided  a number of invaluable services including Registration, Insurance Coordination, website administration and maintenance.  In addition, Jane contributed many hours setting up and developing spreadsheets; sorting players into teams with similar skill sets.  We extend our thanks again for their contributions.
